Review of Gattaca (1997) by Bradens584 — 19 Dec 2020
Gattaca takes place in a dystopian world where genetic engineering is being applied to children and those that are born naturally are shunned by society. The film is creative in its depiction of the future and poses deeper questions about society and ethics in relation to science.
The cinematography and writing are well done and the characters are well fleshed out and have very satisfying arcs throughout the film, I especially liked Jude Law as Jerome.
