Review of Gangs of New York (2002) by Matt O — 17 May 2012
Daniel Day-Lewis makes this movie, and elevates it from a good movie to a timeless film. His performance shows that total dedication to a role pays off. That being said, the film feels it length at times ( especially when Daniel is not on the screen) so be prepared for a good length on concentration on your part.
If you do not suffer from A.D.D however, you will greatly enjoy this gritty and extremely entertaining film.
