When I saw Gangs of New York for the first time I felt it wasn't nothing special and when I rewatched it, it felt even worse. It's an overly long acting-driven revenge movie that seems to go nowhere with the only aim to show a bit of fights and action.
A great Daniel Day Lewis performance but nothing more.
