Review of Funny Ha Ha (2003) by Chadd E — 03 Jul 2007
An awesome bujalski film that follows a recent aimless college graduate and her friends for a short time. it's an endearing film as marnie is, to me, very interesting and her lack of ambition is very appealing at times.
as a result of not taking on a high-pressure job right after college she is able to live on her own and do the little things she's always wanted, like learn to play chess, play more basketball. her lifestyle is very conducive to learning more about herself/self-improvement because she has time.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially because it didn't seem forced - bujalski's good at this sort of thing (mutual appreciation is also worth a look).
