Review of Fritz the Cat (1972) by Jesse L — 23 Feb 2010
Fritz the Cat has something to offend everyone (expect probably white anglo saxons) but most of Ralph Bakshi's work does. I am a fan of his style & like most of his work expect Cool World. Great satire of the late 60s w/ everyone sterotyped from the black crows to the pig cops (even a Jewish pig cop lol) which might not hold up very well today but this is a great cult item that should be looked @ in its proper time & space.
If you liked this you should check out Bakshi's other work like Heavy Traffic or Coonskin.
