Bakshi's debut isn't for everybody, for sure. Would probably stir up all kinds of opposition if it came out today. Notable for being the first X-rated animated feature and for bringing R. Crumb's comic insanity to life in all it's irreverence.
Not a great film, but an interesting take on the times.
