Review of Fritz the Cat (1972) by Zach C — 05 Dec 2012
Bakshi tackles the hypocrisy of hippies in the 60's, while disguising it as a movie for that exact audience. Brilliant. It also features animation from veterans of Looney Tunes and Terrytoons. Watch the way the crows are animated, particularly in the bar scenes.
That's Jim Tyer, an under-appreciated animator, which is fitting for Bakshi, an under-appreciated animation director.
