Review of Friday the 13th (1980) by Jacksonpike05 — 10 Nov 2019
Though Friday the 13th defined the horror genre for decades to come, the first installment of the series hasn't aged too well. Sure the kills are awesome and Betsy Palmer’s spine chilling performance as Pamela Voorhees is great, but everything else is just an hour and a half of sex-driven teens running around and slowly, and I mean dreadfully slowly being picked off one by one by a murderer.
Maybe back then it was horrifying to watch, but nowadays it's just one of those movies that you put on your TV, but don't really pay too much attention to anything besides the kills and the climax.
