Review of Frenzy (1946) by Jonathan B — 11 Oct 2007
After years making brilliant thrillers in America, Hitchcock returned to his country of birth to make this excellent psychological thriller. Its far more gory and explicit than most of his other films (one murder scene in particular is very difficult to watch) but its a film full of brilliant set pieces and gallows humour, mainly concerning the police inspectors efforts to avoid his wifes cordon bleu cooking.
