Review of Freedom Writers (2007) by Brian C — 21 Mar 2010
I thought it was like Gangster's Paradise. It was interesting how originally the husband supported her and not the dad, but at the end it was the other way around. I thought the husband was kind of a deusche for not standing by her.
Hillary's performance wasn't my favorite because she acted so clueless sometimes with phrases and she was one-dimensional emotionally, like she was a saint. I enjoyed learning about the kid's emotional stories and seeing how she got through to them.
It just shows how underpriviledged city-kids are. I couldn't believe that they didn't know about the Holocaust! That teacher deserves an award!
