Review of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) by Orlando D — 18 Aug 2011
Freddy's Dead-The Final Nightmare is an okay entry to the series in which was supposed to be the of the Freddy franchise. This one is the oddest one in the series because they filmmakers pulled no punches as far as the over the top special effects but also the laughs involved but it does have a plot that works despite itself.
Here, Freddy takes the last teen from Springwood and places him in an inner city halfway house for wayward teens. Not only does Freddy have more teens to slaughter but also his a hidden agenda with someone from his past.
This is a vast improvement over part 5, I liked the flashback scenes of Freddy and the cameos of Johnny Depp, Roseanne and Tom Arnold. I found it amusing when the teens end up in Springwood which has no children and the adults carry on like nothing's happen is hilarious and Freddy's one-liners is not a hindrance but compliments the film.
This is an alright entry to the series.
