Review of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) by Dib Z — 03 Jan 2010
I'm so glad this film decided to break away from the Dream Master and Dream Child plot lines. This was the only Nightmare film I had fun watching because it was not as serious as the previous installments and tried to have fun with the situation.
It wasn't scary, but was enjoyable with some new ideas for death scenes which were not violent or gory but were funny and not intended to be serious. The only really cheesy attempts at comedy were the carnival scene and the school scene.
My only question is if Freddy dies in this film, how is he resurrected in Freddy Vs. Jason?
