Review of Foxcatcher (2014) by John M — 24 Jun 2016
Excellent film. I don't really understand the wrestling but anyone can relate to the emotional turmoil of two very competitive brothers both at the top of the same sport; both caring deeply about each other but fighting to be the best.
Brilliantly acted, you feel the frustration. Steve Carrell also does an outstanding job of portraying the creepy boss whose whole career relies on piggybacking the people with the talent while desperately trying to appear to be leading and mentoring them.
Don't we all know someone like that.
