Review of Final Justice (1984) by Ben C — 08 Jan 2014
The best unqualified black comedy of the 80's really does disappoint in the genres of 'action', 'suspense', and 'drama'. The plot is repetitive after the third time Sherriff Geronimo (for some odd reason, pronounced 'Heronimo') (Joe Don Baker) winds up in the jail of Malta, even though that plot shouldn't have been continued from when the villain was captured (it isn't even well explained why Geronimo has to be brought along to bring him to Italy).
And despite being told four times not to pursue the villain, he never learns his lesson and continues trying to get Palermo. The film even ends abruptly after the villain is shot (sorry, spoilers...) with a lousy last line to boot, though it does have a rather catchy song.
