James McAvoy proves yet again why is he one of the best actors of his generation. From period pieces, to a mutant, to this portrayal of the dirtiest of cops, McAvoy shows exemplary range and continues to grow.
The film is engaging and fast paced, and well worth a watch. The Scottish Brogue can be a little think, but just rewind it a bit, and listen and watch again. It's well worth it.
