Review of Family Affair (2010) by Movie K — 27 May 2013
The young boy is really a cute actor and in the heyday, commands top salary like the adult stars. His name is Xiao Bing Bing. Sam Hui and Olivia Cheng decided to live apart and the son live with him while daughter Helen Chan live with mum.
The grandfather Dean Shek is always giving ideas to the grand kids how to let them reconcile. Sam got to know Jenny Tseng and Olivia is woo by Melvin Wong. XBB trick Sam to sign his name and write I love you on a card.
Then later add in words and give it to Olivia as birthday gift. He also shower in cold water and expose to air con just to be sick for real (as he can't act sick) to make the parents gather. Later she know the gift is not from Sam and they quarrel again.
They decide to divorce for real and the two kids cried. At night, Helen left home and XBB follow her. He nearly drown while trying to save his pet dog in the river. They embark on the journey to a temple up the mountain because they remember grandpa said grandma went there to pray for love with grandpa and it works.
Dean remember that and get the parents to try their luck. The two kids cried and pray to Buddha their parents will reconcile, the scene touched Sam and Olivia, they decided to be together again.
