Review of Fair Game (2010) by Michelle R — 23 Apr 2011

What an interesting film. I didn't say amazing I said interesting. However with a film like this I would rather it be interesting, and my god was this interesting. Not in a long time has a film opened my eyes so muc to corruption in our own United States.

Now as an admitted conspiracy thoerist I am not surprised by this story and remember it in the news years back, but to know the ins and outs of the actual affair is a much different thing. It reminded me of a less action orientated (and better film) than The Green Zone wiith Matt Damon which is not a bad comparison considering Green Zone was an all right film.

Sean Penn's performance was awe inspiring as usual, so much so that the great actress that is Naomi Watts actually looked inferior to Penn's acting when they went toe to toe as husband and wife.

If I had any complaints it would be her acting and the fact that the movie tries so hard to be faithfull to the true acts that recently had conspired, that it gets away from the points that make fictional stories so interesting.

With that being said Fair Game was everything the critics had said it was and more. I wish that more AAA films came out with star power like this that focused on similar issues.
