Review of Fair Game (2010) by Roger G — 21 Oct 2018
There are many elements in making a film: the story, the acting, the cinematography, the editing, the location, and the directing that puts all these things together. "Fair Game," was well written and well acted with a great performance by Naomi Watts playing Valerie Plame and Sean Penn acting, well, as Sean Penn normally does playing Sean Penn.
The largest problem with the film is the cinematography with many shots taken as though the camera was in the hands of an amateur. It was distracting enough to disqualify this film as being superb. This distraction destroyed an otherwise factual story regarding the politics of D.
C. and marriage of a CIA operative. The film, however, is still worth watching.
