Review of Fair Game (2010) by Susan P — 22 Jul 2012
I thought this was excellent - based on the books by Valerie Plame (who introduces the film on the DVD) and Joseph Wilson, it reaccounts how Plame was betrayed by her country and outed as a spy. Her husband was also used as a pawn.
It was fascinating, exciting, upsetting, dramatic, and I was really impressed by them. I would have been SO. ANGRY. if I were one of them. It actually made me very angry, because the government betrayed us all.
The performances are superb, and the Karl Rove looks so much like the real thing that they mix up shots of the actor and real video footage! I learned a lot from it and would like to read their books.
I think that everyone should see this movie. It's ultimately a good vs. evil tale about doing what is right, and about what it means to be patriotic.
