Extinction is a science fiction movie with lofty aspirations but not quite the budget to get it there. A big part of the story hinges in a twist that comes later on and can't fairly be revealed in reviews without major spoilers, but I did think the twist was neat and unexpected.
It just comes a little too quick, almost like an "Oh, by the way..." explanation of things quickly wrapped up in a conversation. There has been a bunch of these B-grade science fiction movies on Netflix here lately and most of them have been quite average, but this was just slightly better.
