Brutal and gory in a strangely rewarding way, Fede Alvarez homage/remake of Sam Raimi's 1981 masterpiece manages to shock and create an unsettling atmosphere with ease (thanks mostly to solid acting and spectacular direction) even tough it's humor is lost in the process.
