Review of Event Horizon (1997) by Imthenoob — 25 May 2022

While I certainly don't think it is anywhere near as bad as critics say, I still don't think it is very good. There is some solid direction going on, pretty good acting, and the premise is interesting enough. However, The pacing is terrible with the movie dragging heavily in the second half. The story doesn't fully capitalize on what it brings to the table and the ending feels rushed and quite abrupt.

This is the kind of movie where I wouldn't be surprised to see it get a remake and for the remake to surpass it. The story just wasn't there for this one to be as good as everyone is making it out to be.
