Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Cory W — 04 Jan 2009
Werner Herzog did a spectactular job with this beautifully eerie documentary about the barren wonderland Antarctica. The film keeps your attention with the stunning cinematography and interesting stories he gets out of the locals in the town there.
It does have a few opinions I don't agree with, but some of the footage they get is mind-boggling. Herzog always makes a good movie, and this is no exception. The only problem I had with it was it was a tad too short.
Overall, an intriging documentary. PS...if you can, get it on Blu-Ray....great picture!
