Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Trevor W — 25 Jan 2014
The only documentary I've played at parties to acclaim. Seriously, if you go to the sort of crowded parties that have a movie running, try this one. Herzog brilliantly exposes the brain matter of the sort of scientist who goes to Antarctica.
Haunting, chilling, breathtaking, exciting, mind-numbing, shocking, embarrassing -- just about every adjective has a scene to apply it to.
