Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Anna B — 15 May 2013
"End of the World" is more than just a playful nickname for a barren landscape, it also references the end of human exploration and the idea of humanities seemingly inevitable collapse. Considering Herzog went out to Antarctica armed only with a small idea of what might be possible, a handful of interesting philosophical questions and an attitude, he explored some really interesting ground(physically and intellectually).
