Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Radek C — 11 Mar 2009
"Off the map, things get strange"... a tagline like that is bound to catch everyone's attention. Herzog makes way to Antarctica and no doubts it's a one of a kind trip... unfortunately he failed to make me feel the same.
Cause apart from his mysterious narration and spiritual music there was hardly anything else which made me go wow! It's extremely surprising how ordinary this film turned out to be. At least now I know why this year's Oscar for the best documentary went to Man on Wire.
