Review of Encounters at the End of the World (2007) by Macdara C — 07 Aug 2010
Utterly engrossing. Basically it's Werner Herzog goes around Antarctica with a camera. He's one of my favourite filmmakers (2nd only to Kubrick) and he manages to find interesting people and the bizarre way of life in Antarctica.
I have had a long fascination of the continent and this documentary is great in that it shows the sort of people who work and live there. Highly recommended.
