Review of Educating Rita (1983) by Samantha S — 27 Feb 2009

I'm a Michael Caine fan. Yep. But Julie Walters, in the real starring role, was more than up to the task. As a whole, it showed a nice contrast between working class Liverpool and British Academia, but with a couple of superfluous characters that mainly served as narrative filler, and a dragging pace, the acting gets lost and so does my interest.

Three stars for Michael Caine as a drunken college lecturer!
