Review of Educating Rita (1983) by Gordon B — 02 Nov 2012
Well-acted, well-written and a well-constructed mixture of comedy and drama, Educating Rita benefits strongly from the performances of Michael Caine and Julie Walters but also works in regards as to how each character switch levels at different stages of the film, with the end result being a near-flawless crafting of two different backgrounds forming an engaging and witty storyline.
