Review of Eddie the Eagle (2016) by Sam K — 11 May 2016

In what was one of the most heart warming films I've seen in a long time, Eddie the eagle truly soars. I felt the portrayal of Eddie by Taron Egerton was brilliant and his on screen chemistry with Hugh Jackman was amazing to see.

This film had such a strong message about perseverance and determination that I feel like I too could compete in the Olympics if I dedicated enough time to train. What makes it even more uplifting is the fact that it's based on a true story.

Knowing that some average Joe like you or me achieved his dream of competing in the Olympics coupled with the fact that even though he may not have placed first yet was still so beloved by people restores my faith in humanity and the belief that anything is possible.
