Review of Eddie the Eagle (2016) by Leon W — 31 Aug 2016
Really enjoyable and fun film. They don't make films like this very often.
I get the impression it wasn't very accurate, but that's okay.
Taron Egerton is fantastic in the lead role, and from what I could tell, really captured the mannerisms of the real Eddie the Eagle.
Hugh Jackman shows that apparently you can be a drunk for over a decade and yet be super ripped and look extremely healthy. He does add a bit of charm to the film, as does Jo Hartley as Eddie's mum.
The CGI is a little weak during some of the skiing moments, but its all part of the fun.
Oh, and anyone whoever does Ski Jumping is a lunatic.
