Review of Eddie Murphy Raw (1987) by Gordon T — 06 Mar 2010
Eddie Murphy Delirious 2.
When I saw "Directed by Robert Towsand" in the credits, I wondered what kind of direction could Robert Towsand be giving--Eddie Murphy just walks back and forth and there are plenty of man-on-the-street interviews of typical New Yorkers. (there's one directed scene of young eddie murphy.
EDDIE MURPHY RAW begins very "funnily" and ends very stupidly (the jokes start-off very funny and degrade to "stupid-status").
On the BARBRA WALTERS pre-OSCAR interview a few years ago EDDIE MURPHY mentioned wanting to return to stand-up comedy.
Hopefully, after Eddie's made amends to all the people he's hurt (his ex-wife, MEL B., his children, and Baby Face's ex-wife and us his fans), EDDIE MURPHY can make a GRAND RETURN!!!!!
Between EDDIE MURPHY and TIGER WOODS . . .and a lot of other people, people are "doing each other wrong" left and right.
--and of course; nobody is perfect.
I'd like to see EDDIE MURPHY do another stand-up comedy movie.
