Review of Dunkirk (2017) by Charlie D — 12 Aug 2017
A different take and approach to WWII movies, and the interesting use of time jumping, Nolan does something fresh. Thrilling in a different way, showing the stresses of war in non-combat situations, Dunkirk was good, but not mindblowing. That is, until the end. I'll have to rewatch it and see if the Nolan twist was an intentional thing, or if my friend's theory was just a theory. I may change my rating later if it really was true (spoilers excluded).
PS. MUST be seen in IMAX.
