Drug addict films are done pretty frequently, so it's a challenge to make something that we haven't already seen a dozen times. But Drugstore Cowboy manages to do this by taking on a completely different type of addict.
I never even knew that you cold become a dope addict to such a level through prescription drugs. So it was something new and interesting for me, but I hate to say that Matt Dillon's performance was a little sub-par.
I loved him in Crash... but this time around I just didn't believe it at all. And I feel a little guilty for it...
