Review of Dreams (1990) by Amie H — 28 Dec 2007
Joined one of those nerdy after school movie clubs and definitely did not regret it as I was introduced to this lovely film.
With transcendence as a common theme throughout, it does tug at those brain strings a bit.
What did I get from it?
We often favor progress to the extent that it will ultimately destroy us... However, it is our definition of what it means to progress that has put us in this situation. To become better might mean acceptance of your surroundings and its relationship to you. Does this necessarily mean back to nature? Not necessarily.
Anyhow... the movie does deserve some time to watch and as always... a life time of reflection. Easy to start up a conversation about this one. Socratic Seminar anyone?
