Review of Dracula (1958) by Josh H — 20 May 2011
This was without a doubt the most fast-paced film I've seen from this era. Where I expected it to be long and arduous without revealing Dracula's true nature for at least a half hour, within the first ten minutes there's already fang-showing and bloodletting.
This worked extremely in the movie's favor, and thankfully it never slows down. Christopher Lee is awesome as Dracula, and perfectly embodies the character, and Peter Cushing is equally incredible as Dr.
Van Helsing. These two just ooze coolness, and they constantly command the screen. In the end, this is one of the most entertaining horror movies I've ever seen, and it's one I'm very glad to own.
