Review of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1941) by Joshua L — 15 Jul 2007
Lana Turner and Ingrid Bergman actually swapped roles in this classic telling of the early gothic novel. It would seem Turner should be the flirty barmaid and Bergman the innocent, staid society girl. That casting alone (and bergman's insistence that she be given the more challenging role) make the movie.
And I completely agree with Aaron's assesment as well.
