I really enjoyed this movie. Edward Norton's acting and the final scene is worth a view alone. The movie is ultimately about being driftless in an America where you have no sense of identity or history.

It's about the complex and contridictory nature of life. Norton's character is also a study of fantasy, of how it can be a beautiful escape. But once it crosses a certain line, it turn into destruction.

Everyone in this movie acts their heart out and I think it pays off. The second half realizes a bit too much on getting the story through rather than letting the characters develope in an organic way like the first half.

A definate rent for everyone.
