Review of Dog Soldiers (2002) by Scott W — 12 Apr 2009
I like to see things I haven't seen before, and this film delivered. Most action movies and horror films don't succeed because they are SO plot driven that they forget the humanity in the characters.
Dog Soldiers is to horror what Pixar is to animated features. Even when the action reaches its fever pitch, the film never abandons the characters or their motivations. This movie also shares several traits with The Descent, (same director) though it is both much less polished and much funnier.
