Review of Dixie Chicks: Shut Up and Sing (2006) by Jonathan B — 22 Apr 2008
Shut Up & Sing is easily one of the best documentaries that I have ever seen. It is one very intimate look inside one of the most beloved/hated groups of all-time. The Dixie Chicks show a different side we aren't used to that was pretty damn refreshing to see.
It shows how one little comment... that one stupid group & the media blows way out of proportion. Also, the scenes about F.U.T.K. were probably some of the best ever in a documentary that practically had me rolling off my bed.
But basically, the message here is very strong & it's one that sticks with you for quite some time.
