Review of Diner (1982) by Steve S — 13 Sep 2009
***1/2 (out of four).
Great directorial debut for Barry Levinson. The film chronicles a group of young men growing up in Baltimore in 1959. The coming-of-age drama is familiar but its delivery feels fresh. Great performances from the likes of Steve Guttenberg, Mickey Rourke, Kevin Bacon, and Daniel Stern.
