"Dick Tracy" has oodles (yes, oodles) of stylishly tasty visuals, not to mention Al Pacino hamming it up as a permanently angry mob boss. Now, if only there had been that much thought into the construction a story that isn't so ponderous and bland. Events that should zip by, seem to go on forever. There's also a disappointing lack of action which if present probably would have distracted nicely from "Tracy's" other shortcomings.
