Review of Dick Tracy (1990) by John M — 09 Dec 2014
Easily one of the very best Comic Book movies! Vittorio Storaro's cinematography is drop-dead gorgeous! Danny Elfman was in his early film scoring career when he actually had passion for what he was working on.
Then, there are the performances! Al Pacino is hilariously over-the-top as Big Boy Caprice, delivering deliriously goofball monologues, especially towards the end of the movie! There are lots of fun other performances, like Dustin Hoffman as Mumbles and surprise cameos, like James Caan, briefly paired with his "Godfather" co-star Pacino.
Lot's of fun, and very re-watchable! If you haven't seen it, I recommend you give it a try!
