What can I say about this movie. I love kurosawa and it is one of my favourite of the 25 or so films ive seen by him. Not only does it perfectly capture a humanistic element, but it also captures a wonderful aesthetic.
In this respect,to me, it reaches a level that only Ikiru and Red Beard in his filmography achieve.
