Review of Venom (2018) by Brian S — 09 Dec 2018
While not the best Marvel film I've seen so far, Venom is a pleasant flick, combining sci-fi action with superhero elements to make for a film that's a little different from your average Marvel movie.
It's funny and serious at the same time, and Tom Hardy gives a very memorable lead performance, alongside with Michelle Williams. It's everything you'd expect from a big budget, CGI fueled, loud mainstream antihero pic, and while it's not flawless, it's a decent film that entertained me, and I'm curious to see what the sequel will be like.
