Review of Dersu Uzala (1961) by Paul I — 04 Nov 2008
A beautiful testament to friendship, a heartbreaking elegy for nature and the wilderness -- this is easily Kurosawa's greatest film, and sadly it's also one of his least known, since he made it in the USSR. Highest recommendations.
