Review of Death Note (2017) by Sara B — 03 Sep 2017
A complete bastardization of both the original characters and plot. More successful at being a poor spoof of Heathers than remotely attempting to follow the source material's canon (and it's not even good at that).
There were a few aesthetically pleasing shots, but the sound design was horrendous. Ryuk's and L's actors did the best with the provided script, unfortunately that script seems to have been written by someone who watched the original series in one sitting with a bong in hand a decade ago and asked to write said script while on cocaine.
