Review of Dead Poets Society (1989) by Jason J — 29 Jun 2010
It's taken me over 20 years to finally see it but it was well worth the wait as this is just an incredibly moving, uplifting and inspiring movie with an outstanding performance from Robin Williams as the teacher Mr Keating who tells his English class to seize the day and take charge of their lives as anything is possible for them.
There are no limitations to what they can achieve. Live life to the full. I wish I had a teacher like him at school! The cast of pupils which includes a young Ethan Hawke is magnificent in their roles.
A brilliant engaging coming of age storyline, beautiful cinematography and probably the most powerful ending in a movie all combine to make Dead Poets Society a must-see experience. Definitely do not miss out on this cinematic masterpiece.
