Review of Dead Poets Society (1989) by Subin B — 12 Jun 2018
Review of the film ' the poet of the Dead Society'.
The first impression of 'dead poet's society' was that it was so intense from the title that I was curious about its contents.
Even though it's been more than 20 years since the release, it's been really good the content of a movie.
The story itself is a story of high school students. So it is a movie that can teach good lessons to middle and high school students.
First of all, I am John Keating, the main character of this movie.
I think he's a teacher who really takes children the right way.
He gave advice to children while he was teaching his class rather than taking a textbook. I wanted to take a class from such a teacher.
In particular, by telling students the word "Carpe D, "students began to write about theirs poem in the cave. And one student confessed himself to his favorite woman.
The only thing that changed was the teacher, and I think the teacher influences really affected the children.
Thought it would go so smoothly, but there was a reversal.
Neil Perry passed the audition with flying colors, but his father was opposed.
However, he ended up on stage and recognized for his ability.
There he thought Neil Perry would be recognized by his father and realize his dream of a play, but he got angry and said, ' Don't let me down anymore. '.
So Neil Perry commits suicide.
It was sad that adults ' greed in this part seemed to drive a boy to death.
I couldn't understand why father was blocking his dream.
He didn't help his child as a parent; he drove his child to death. So, friends suffer and teacher John Keating gets fired from school.
Even in this terrible situation, the principal and his parents did not know what they had done wrong.
The most impressive part of the movie was that when I saw John Keating leaving in vain, one of the students went up on the desk and shouted, " Captain Oh my captain! " and another student shouted, " John! ".
The movie was over that I almost burst into tears there.
I realized once again that selfishness is really bad.
The selfishness of men killed and drove out the innocent.
I felt happy my life through this movie and I was well affected by lingering imagery in a movie.
I want this movie to be seen by students my age.
