Review of Dead Poets Society (1989) by Second G — 05 Sep 2018
If you like to learn something important for your life, you have to see this movie, Deads Poets society. This movie starred by Robin Williams and was directed by Peter Weir on 1989.
The best actor in this movie was Robin Williams, he won one Oscar for the Best Supporting Actor. In this movie Williams was John Keating new teacher, conservative Vermont boarding school Welton Academy, it tells the story of an English teacher who inspires his students through his teaching of poetry. I think he was the best actor in this film and especially in the scene that gets his students to respect him, all stand in the folders and they all say: "O captain, my captain".
In the years of 1959, Todd Anderson begins his senior year of high school at Welton Academy, an all-male, elite preparatory school. He was assigned one of Welton's most promising students, Neil Perry, as his roommate and is quickly accepted by Neil's friends: Knox Overstreet, Richard Cameron, Steven Meeks, Gerard Pitts, and Charlie Dalton. On the first day of classes, they were surprised by the unorthodox teaching methods of the new English teacher, but he teach them also poetry; John Keating, he encourages his students to "make your lives extraordinary", a sentiment he summarizes with the Latin expression carpe diem.
I think this is a extraordinary story because this movie comes to teach you a lot about how to look and live your life.
Now I'm going to talk about the soundtrack, which I consider extraordinary because it fit perfectly in the scenes of the film. For me one of the best scenes or better said the best scene is when they dismiss Mr. Keating and his students out of respect they stand in the folders and say "O captain, my captain".
Finally, I will put 10 of 10 to this movie because I think this movie is one of best of the history and actually is a classic film, I think that fans will be so happy to see this movie, and also they could learn something watching this movie. I recommend people to see this movie to have a good time and to remember a classic.
